Children are very special patients in our practice. We make every effort to insure your children's experience is a positive one that will encourage them to enjoy participating in their dental care.
We like to see your child for an initial "ride in the chair" at about age 2 or 3. Often a child will sit in the parent's lap for the first visit. Most young children have fun getting their teeth counted and polished and are excited to pick a prize from our "treasure chest."
We check for tooth decay and tooth eruption with cavity detecting bite-wing x-rays at about age 5 or 6. Once your child starts to lose the primary (baby) teeth and permanent teeth are erupting , we screen for orthodontics and proper sequence of tooth eruption with a panoramic x-ray and referral for an orthodontic consultation if needed.
We love having children as part of our dental family and enjoy watching their growth and development throughout the years.
